Mentorship & Tradition
Beyond the stage and award-winning competitions, the Stuart Highlanders true passion lies in fostering the pipe band tradition through comprehensive education and mentorship. For six decades, the band’s members have continually mentored the next generation of musicians to become award-winning soloists and distinguished pipe bands. Our unwavering commitment to education fuels the growth of piping and drumming talent across the region, ensuring the traditions of our heritage are passed with passion and precision—one student, one band at a time.
In a fitting tribute to our founder, Archie MacLeod, the Stuart Highlanders also established the Archie MacLeod Memorial Scholarship. It is awarded annually to members who are looking to further their piping and drumming education.
